Luz Floreciente is a virtual event space and map built for VRChat. It was originally created for an Institute of Tranceology music event on May 9, 2026. The virtual world is a sun-soaked Spanish courtyard filled with flowering orange trees, featuring an improvised dancefloor and outdoor cafe seating.

Built as a tribute to the Spanish region of Andalusia, Luz Floreciente draws inspiration from the architectural and cultural aesthetics of Granada, Malaga, and Almuñécar.

This virtual world is loosely based on Abadía Del Sacromonte, a real-world site in Granada, Spain, pictured here.

When first entering the world, users are dropped in a small room with an informational poster detailing the world credits, and control toggles for some of the visual and mechanical aspects of the map.

The world control toggles are meant to visually evoke the iconography of a "rules" sign that one might see at a park or other public place.

The DJ booth features audio-reactive lights and speakers, and the turntables have animated physics colliders which allow users to drop oranges on top and watch them spin around with the records' movements.

Directly in front of the DJ booth, there are portable wooden floors on top the cobblestone ground. These are commonly used by flamenco street performers that one might see in Granada.
